Do you have daily devotion for your relationship with Christ? Do you pray fervently or kneel to pray? Do you have the right objective towards spiritual progress? It’s about confidence. It’s about knowing that Jesus is with you. It’s about strengthen confidence and belief in the words of the Bible and build your confidence in your journey towards God.
How Christ improved my self confidence
When I was in the presence of Jesus, He changed me. I felt confident that what I said was going to come to pass. It didn’t matter that it was God’s will that was being done. It didn’t matter that I was living by His word. When I was with Jesus, I had confidence that He had everything under control.
I had the right objective towards my deliverance, my recovery and my walk with Christ. As I stayed in the presence of Jesus and walked with Him daily, I had victory in my mind. I knew that my problem was being handled in God’s perfect timing and that the outcome would be for my good. It was good for me that He was moving in my life for my benefit.
I was holding on the past when I met Jesus. I was holding on to what I thought I had been through for Him to work in my life to make me strong and to help me overcome my weakness. When I left the meeting I was crying. I was overwhelmed with joy telling everyone that I could hardly believe it. Really it felt like I hit paydite.
Why am I sharing this with you? Well, the Lord this morning during prayer message said to me ” Today your journey with Jesus will be real stressful and tough”. He said “My sheep that are scattered, are singing a song of rejoicing. They are under my perfect guard, are tended to by My presence.” He went on to say “no one who goes through fire comes out unscathed”. It doesn’t matter what you are facing at this moment, all I can say is “Stand strong. Fear not, for I am with you to comfort you.” And He finished…the message was genuine
I have to admit, it was a great comfort to know that Jesus is with me and that He is really, really there and that He is able to do what He said He would do. I was able to sleep last night because I knew He was next to me, holding me and comforting me. I am going to miss that feeling of security knowing that I am not alone. It’s hard to do when things are so calm and peaceful out there, but at the same time I know Jesus is where He promised I would be, comforting and holding me. What good will it be to have the promise of Jesus in your life if you cannot have peace in your heart for the things you are facing now? Simply allow the peace of God to overwhelm you to take your burdens.
I am amazed to know that the birth of Jesus was not only for a few hours, but for the entire world. I am amazed that He was born through a virgin. I am amazed that He called the sun loving sun because He knew the nature of the person who was going to be the mother of our Savior.
How can this be a blessing to all of us who are facing hardships? Simply because He cares. He does not just care about the physical things like your job or whether you have food to eat or the clothes you wear, He cares about the peace in your heart and the comfort in your heart.
Let me encourage you today to stand on the word of God taken from the Bible. Strengthen your faith to believe for the things He has promised as your portion if the fruit in the Gospel of Christ Jesus. He cares. Remember, He listens even when you don’t hear Him. He will be with you through the good times and the bad, but He cannot stay in the bad because that would make Him part of the problem.
Take comfort and wait patiently for Him because He is always with you, especially if you live a difficult life and have a difficult challenge in your life today. I live in a country plagued with many horrible weather patterns, so, it is not the norm to experience snow and ice storms each year, but in our country we have never seen a hurricane with such exceedingly deadly consequences.
The government has done little to address the cause and effect relationship of these various weather events and the resulting high death toll. Rather than addressing the incidence of weather events, the government prefers to spend money on buying more guns and other violence- Reduction of personal freedom is the most violent response to increased violence.
