Fear pops in like an unexpected guest in the night, when I least expect it, then it appears. And it has something to do with my future. It is as if some external force is trying to get my attention. I could easily brush it off as the work of a nuisance, or a trick of the mind–a “brick” that would get in the way of what I was about to do or say. But I didn’t want to let it succeed. And I poured all the plans I had into that glass bottle–my life. Then I realized that it might be fear that was having its way with me, distorting what my goals and purpose were in life, raising the red flag that something was wrong, that I was fooling myself. And the only thing that would clear the vision, the evidence, or the outcome that I wanted in my life was to get to the core of the matter: my very authenticity, my “true” self.
I spent some time reflecting on the scripture in Ephesians 6:12 that says, “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” The earlier version of the verse read, “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood,” and it is a mistake. We are in a spiritual war and we are not fighting against flesh and blood. Another error in the translation is that the word “forts” should read “beauty”. This change in wordings clarifies the intent of the text and affirmatively declares that we are not to be fooled by the spiritual wickedness that we are up against.
I was allowing the thoughts of the mind to entertain this idea, and it became a very stressful environment that I did not find healthy. Living in this environment was foolish because I was identifying with the mind, which was identifying with Satan, which is fighting against God. So in my effort to free myself from this stressful situation I wanted to use my mind to oppose this evil. The thought to do so was a powerful one, but the motivational reasoning was not strong enough to accomplish the necessary changes to my thinking that I desired.
I continued to create this environment by this Pursuit of the Rich Fantasy, but it was not being acted upon and therefore did not bring me the happiness that I was also unconsciously seeking at this time. Then the thought came to me to separate myself from this environment by this action of taking up my Cross, which is the Message of the Cross on the Cross of Jesus Christ, and to move into that which is empowered by God in the areas of applying this Word of God, as is written in Ephesians 6:12.
The process ofMessage psi charlataindie to the power of God in transforming the human mind to conform to God’s Word, through the Christ process. And this is the greatest example of psi that could ever be found. Though it was certainly not an easy undertaking, it brought knowledge of God’s Word and the joy of applying His Spirit in the process. This is the greatest success measure that God promised us and we all know by now that He is faithful to that.
If we would listen to the ego–our constant thinks during the day–we would not only fail to accomplish our goals, but we would fail to find joy in even doing the most ordinary of tasks. The Christian life is not a chore or a struggle. It IS a joy. We must do the best we can to resist the temptations of the world and the wisdom of the flesh and the sin that seems to be inherent and normal to human existence. But when we think that the lies of the world and the “la la’s” of the world would be better than the true power and presence of God, we are putting our own pride before the true health of our souls.
4deeply cares about you;
He cheerful is in his work
And will make you excel in quality.
5His mercies and his paths
Sometimes turn away;
His destruction is the end of them.
Unetting truth transcends the barriers of the world and imparts beauty to the soul.
6He causes his hearsound to clap;
His voice to vibrate;
His deeds to be rich;
His praises will he proclaim.
7He prepares and accepts his own threshold;
He lays his needy hand;
Take refuge in the shadow of his wings.
8He trusts in his own strength;
He will lift you up if you fall.
