First, let me say that prophecy can not be used to make predictions. It is a book of visions and so at times it contains information that may seem like a prediction but it is always safe to ignore. Only the one who has a true and working knowledge of the spiritual gifts can always tell the future.
The Bible will teach you more about the gifts of the spirit. I was studying in Genesis 12. It was about the different types of seeds and the different kinds of Incarnations that man was to encounter as he journeyed out of Africa. The Holy Spirit gave me a vision of some of the seeds and the one that sounded best in this article.
Genesis 12:3And God told them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; increase and be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it; and have dominion over every living thing on earth.”
The Words of the Lord came to me as I was looking at verse 3. A friend of mine was quoting this verse from the Amplified Bible at our local church. I quickly asked him where Matthew is from and he said, ” continents away over there”. I said, “That is true, but where are your continents?” I saw that the Bible had to have a second source.
So, I began to search the scriptures and this is what I found.
“Behold your armor is hidden; it is hidden, nor is it uncovered; for you have robbed Me, even this whole region. Through your harlot you have killed My prophets.”I Samuel 14:22
“Behold, your household is built of old wealth; you have become utterly lackful. The LORD has driven you out of this place; I am the LORD your God who brought you out of your land.”Deuteronomy 26:11
I came to see that this was indeed a prophecy spoken against the Israelites by Moses. Deuteronomy 26:11 was a prophecy concerning the nation of Israel which was becoming increasing unfaithful to Yahweh. It is written in the Old Testament as a result of the Israelites breaking covenant with Yahweh and eleven plagues. It speaks about the destruction of the entire country. Nothing but a few survivors could be found among the survivors. The rest of the country was destroyed.
So, why does God bring such destruction? Could it be because He respects His Word and He wants to glorify His name. So, the super Added verse that explains the reasons for such destruction is,
“For the sake of your enemies, I stretch out My hand against those who hate Me; So they put their heads together and conspire together; Has not this generation deceived the nations?”I Samuel 13:17
The World and it’s leaders have indeed deceived many. Not only has this generation completely misled themselves, but the leaders of this world will deceive them also in the future.
Amos 3:9″…so shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.”
This verse has two different interpretations. Either it is referring to the sins of this world or it is a promise. It refers to the sins of this world, but it also refers to a promise.
Since both passages have to do with the sins of this world, it is easy to determine which one is the correct interpretation.
The interpretation is, God wants the future generations to praise Him when the Kingdom of God has manifested. He wants His Word to profit in the thing for which He sent it.
The reason for this is that the Kingdom of God will be manifest in the overflowing grace and glory of His glory. God will do great things that will manifest His great grace. That grace will be manifested in the destiny of those who are His devoted slaves.
The promise shows that those who are devoted to the Lord will be preserved in a safe environment; they will possess perfect peace and security. Since the majority of the world is not saved, the majority will not be included in the future kingdom.
In this study we have shown the two passages that give evidence to the second coming of Jesus. We have discussed the problems that hindoubt the happenings of the first coming. We have concluded that the true message is lost because man does not know the meaning of the two passages of scripture. The Holy Spirit can give a revelation to the understanding of the reader.
